The city of Homs in Syria, especially the district of Sadad, is among the places most affected by ISIS terror. Many children have lost their parents in the war and are often forced to work or beg to try to get food for the day. The children live scattered with relatives and other families to manage their daily lives.

In collaboration with Father Michael, who is responsible for the Sadad area and is our contact person, One Hand has decided to help 50 orphaned children from begging and give them the opportunity for education. The children are aged between 3-20 years. One can temporarily satisfy a child with a piece of bread, but education can provide the child a future and self-sustenance.
The church depends on private donations and as the country's economic situation worsens, so does their ability to contribute to paying for the children's school fees.
